Dr. Chris Bolt grew up in West Hartford, CT and spent his childhood outside in the woods and raising turtles, snakes, frogs, hamsters, cats, dogs and every other animal his parents would let into the house. He graduated from Pomona College in California with a degree in Biology before spending a year working in wildlife rehabilitation in North Carolina and Florida. After a further year spent as a technician in a small animal hospital, Dr. Bolt attended veterinary school at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, graduating with distinction. He recently moved to Salt Lake City with his girlfriend, also a small animal veterinarian, and their dog Ozzie, a shepherd/sheltie mix. In his free time, he spends as much time as possible outside hiking, biking, running and skiing, as well as playing hockey and soccer. His veterinary interests include internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and oncology.
